Fully closed, the VELUX window opener is 1 metre in length. The opener can be easily extended to its full length of 1.8 metres. This will reach the VELUX control bars and blinds installed in most homes. For windows installed even higher, Ashbrook Roofing Supplies stock a special extension piece for the VELUX Window Opener. This extends the opener to 2.8 metres.
